It all started with Macrae seeing Alexa walking through the TCU commons and thinking “she was one of the most beautiful girls he had ever seen”. So, when Alexa and Macrae came eye-to-eye in the women’s restroom on the 4th floor of the Chi Omega sorority house their sophomore year, Macrae knew he had to shoot his shot... A year later Macrae walked up to Alexa at a house party and said, “I don’t know if you remember me or not, but I am the bathroom guy who told you I thought you were beautiful”, to which Alexa said, “How could I ever forget?”. We started officially dating in April of our junior year! That summer, we both were working in Fort Worth and got to spend a lot of quality time together. We both quickly realized we had something really special!

One thing about us - we LOVE the frogs. TCU game days are one of our favorite things!

Speaking of loving the Frogs - we got to go to the Fiesta Bowl and College Football National Championship to cheer them on!

We both lived in Dallas for our first year post-grad. So thankful to have that time in the same place after graduating. A lot changes about your day-to-day when you graduate, but we were thankful to have each other as a constant that first year!

We LOVE lake weekends with Macrae’s family! And our chocolate lab (Hereford) probably loves them even more than we do.

Following our first year both living in Dallas, Macrae moved to San Antonio to begin law school. While the distance was challenging, it brought us even closer and reaffirmed that we were truly meant to be each other’s forever.

Our first year apart was filled with weekends spent celebrating our friends’ weddings — special moments that let us be together and reminded us how lucky we are to have found each other.

One of the best weeks ever - we sailed through the British Virgin Islands! Great quality time with family, lots of snorkeling, and Macrae learning that he has some room to grow with his paddle boarding skills.

We love golfing together! While neither of us are the next Tiger Woods, we really enjoy being outside, learning a new skill, and spending quality time together.

We are thankful that we both love an adventure! We hiked the Devil’s Causeway together for our 25th birthdays (fun fact: we are less than a day apart in age!). We only later learned that this is one of the most deadly hikes in the world - whoops!

We like to ski/snowboard as many days as we possibly can in the winters in Steamboat! Alexa’s dad has an aversion to “knuckle draggers”, but has made an exception for Macrae :)

The best day of our lives! Macrae asked me to spend forever with him in my favorite place on earth — Steamboat. It was the most thoughtful, perfectly planned day, made even more special when both of our families surprised me there. I was completely clueless it was happening (which, if you know me, is beyond impressive that Macrae pulled it off!)

And now, we not only plan a wedding, but we keep making incredible memories throughout the process as we prepare our hearts for a faith-based, fruitful marriage. We cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together!
